Accessibility Statement

This accessibility statement applies to the Future Ecologies of Clay website.

The Future Ecologies of Clay project team is responsible for this website. We want as many people as possible to be able to use it.

This means users should be able to:

  • change colours, contrast levels and fonts using browser or device settings
  • zoom in without text becoming unreadable or content being lost
  • navigate most of the website using a keyboard
  • navigate most of the website using speech recognition software
  • listen to most of the website using a screen reader

We have also tried to make the website content as clear and simple as possible.

AbilityNet has advice on making your device easier to use if you have a disability.

We know that some parts of this website are not fully accessible.

In particular:

  • some images, videos, icons and linked media may not yet have suitable alternative text or accessible labels
  • some link text may not be descriptive enough when read out of context
  • some heading levels may not be structured correctly
  • some forms may need further testing to confirm that labels, error messages and instructions are accessible
  • some video or audio content may not yet have captions, transcripts or audio descriptions
  • keyboard focus indicators, contrast and page reflow still need further testing across all templates
  • some third-party services linked from this website may not be fully under our control

  • Some keyboard focus states may not be sufficiently visible. This may fail WCAG 2.4.7 Focus Visible.
  • Some interactive elements may need further testing to confirm they can be fully operated by keyboard. This may fail WCAG 2.1.1 Keyboard.

We will prioritise fixes that affect navigation, forms, media, labels, headings, contrast and keyboard use.

Preparation of this accessibility statement

This statement was prepared on 29 May 2026.

This website was last reviewed on 29 May 2026.

The review was a limited self-assessment of key public pages, including the homepage, About, Conversations, Conference, Register, Login and Accessibility Statement pages. It should not be treated as a full independent accessibility audit.

The statement will be reviewed again after significant design or development changes, and at least once a year.
